This year’s Annual Scientific Meeting of the Irish Association of Emergency Medicine (IAEM) takes place on 18th and 19th October in the Castleknock Hotel, Dublin and MatchMedics are delighted to be the main sponsor of this most prestigious event in the calendar.

Hundreds of Emergency Medicine professionals will gather for 2 days of hands on learning from some of the specialties most respected practitioners. As a leading light in the recruitment of Emergency Medicine doctors, MatchMedics will be providing insight into the current staffing landscape whether you are looking at your own career options or planning a campaign to hire specialist doctors and nurses for your Emergency department.

The conference brochure previews the wonderful array of speakers and events right from the Opening Session chaired by Dr Emily O’Connor, President of the IAEM through to the closing Leo Vella lecture by Dr Mark Doyle. The local organising committee from Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown in Dublin have put together a stellar programme over the 2 days, plus the additional pre-meeting masterclasses.

Its difficult to pull highlights from such a great line up but the MatchMedics team are particularly looking forward to “Multi tasking in the ED” by Dr Taj Hassan, President of Royal College of Emergency Medicine; “Office with a View: Retrieval Medicine in New South Wales” by Dr Sinead Ni Bhraoinain; “How to do a Presentation” by Mr Ross Fisher and “Under the Pump, why Irish Doctors migrate to Australia” by Dr Niamh Humphries

MatchMedics will be tweeting using #18IAEM and will also be organising one of our infamous “Operation” game competitions which will pit Dr against Dr to see who can remove the most funny bones in the shortest time with professional honour and great prizes at stake.

Come and chat to Graham Cosgrave, Raksha Joshi and Richard Morton at one of the MatchMedics stands across the meeting venue.
