Locum Psychiatrist- General Adult

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for adult patients.
• Provide evidence-based therapies, medication management, and crisis intervention as needed.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to deliver holistic care.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation in line with best practices.
• Participate in case reviews, clinical meetings, and contribute to the development of care pathways.

Requirements:

• Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
• Experience in general adult psychiatry, with excellent diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work within a locum framework.
• Valid professional indemnity insurance.
