Locum Paediatrics Registrar

Job description

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a range of paediatric conditions, from acute to chronic presentations
• Provide care to neonatal, paediatric, and adolescent patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Attend and manage paediatric emergencies as required
• Collaborate with consultants, SHOs, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to ensure holistic patient care
• Participate in ward rounds, teaching sessions, and departmental meetings
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation

Requirements

• Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
• At least two years of post-internship clinical experience, with paediatrics experience at registrar level preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) certification is desirable
• Eligibility to work in Ireland, as sponsorship will not be provided for locum vacancies
