Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist clinical care for paediatric inpatients and outpatients.
• Conduct ward rounds, clinics, and manage on-call duties as required.
• Supervise and support junior medical staff, fostering their development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in departmental meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain meticulous patient records in compliance with hospital policies.

Requirements:

• Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
• Specialist registration in Paediatrics (or eligibility).
• Proven experience at consultant level in paediatric care.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to the demands of a locum role in a busy healthcare setting.
