Job description

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide variety of acute and emergency presentations
• Perform emergency procedures and manage critical cases under consultant supervision
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
• Supervise and support junior doctors, including SHOs and interns
• Participate in clinical audits, teaching sessions, and departmental meetings
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation

Requirements

• Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
• At least two years of post-internship experience, with ED experience at registrar level preferred
• Proficiency in managing a broad range of acute medical and trauma cases
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and other emergency medicine certifications are desirable
• Eligibility to work in Ireland, as sponsorship will not be provided for locum vacancies
