Consultant Psychiatrist

Job description

Our client, leading provider of residential care for individuals with Mental Health conditions and intellectual disabilities, is looking to add to their team.

They are currently looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to work in one of their approved centres in Cork.

This is a permanent role with a very competitive salary

Main Responsibilities:

▪ Taking clinical responsibility for patients who are residing in Approved Centres.
▪ Contributing to clinical governance for the services provided at both Approved Centres when covering annual leave and contribute to the development of service strategy as required.

Qualification:

* Eligible to register with the Irish Medical Council under the specialist registration for Psychiatry
* Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
* Evidence of achievement in education, research, audit and service improvement.

Knowledge:

* Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area.

Experience:

* Leadership and Senior management experience within a large organisation in either the public or private sector.
* Experienced in producing high quality documentation and reports preferably at Board Level.
* Experience of psychiatric practice in a range of settings (preferably both ID and Forensic settings)
